If you have any queries regarding the Recycle your Christmas Tree Campaign 2022, please be sure to read our FAQs below. Alternatively, you can contact the Rainbow Hub team on 01704 823276 or by email at info@rainbowhub.org
You can book your tree collection any time from now, up until midday on Wednesday 10th January. The cut off for booking is to give us time to plan the collection routes effectively!
No you do not. Please just make sure you leave it in a clear and obvious place for our collectors. Please make sure all decorations are removed.
We do not charge for collecting your tree. Although the success of the collection relies on donations and we really do appreciate every single donation made. In the year ahead, we need to raise over £700,000 to offer the level of services we do. This event aims to raise over £11,000 towards this, so your contribution will really help to make a difference.
When you book, you will be asked for an accurate address (including postcode), if you live in a property that is difficult to find please leave detailed instructions.
Where possible please leave the tree on your property close to the road where it can easily be seen.
If you have to leave it on the pavement please ensure it is not a safety hazard to others.
If it cannot be left in view please include information on where it is when you register e.g. “through the gate on the left, down the alley in the garden.” And ensure that it can be retrieved safely by our volunteers.
We have a team of volunteers who give up their own free time, use their own petrol, come out in most weathers and work tirelessly to cover the large area… we are always seeking new volunteers so please get in touch if you are interested in joining our happy team! Without our amazing volunteers, this event would not be possible, and we are eternally grateful for their generosity!
You can book your tree by filling out our online form here: www.rainbowhub.org or please feel free to call us on 01704 823276 if you would prefer to book over the phone (we can take card payments) or email Emma on e.parish@rainbowhub.org
At this time of year the weather can be unpredictable, especially in some of our rural areas. We shall endeavour to get to you within the specified days but our volunteers will not be travelling in risky conditions. If collection is delayed, we will be sure to communicate this to you.
Rainbow Hub will use all donations to continue to deliver our services, helping children and young people with disabilities to live more active and independent lives.
It will be brought back to Rainbow Hub, where it will be chipped on site. The chippings will then recycled and used for things like helping grow new trees for future Christmases!
