Fun Club

We are delighted to be a Lancashire Break Time Fun Club provider.

If you have a child (between the age of 5 and 16 years) that has been awarded Lancashire Break Time hours and would like to attend our Fun Club, please get in touch.

The cost is £12 a day per child, though some trips away from Rainbow Hub will carry an additional cost set by the venue.  Siblings are welcome too.

We will have two weeks of Fun Club beginning the second week in August.

Week 1

Monday 8th August – Exploring Nature
Orienteering, a visit to the local delph/ forest school, nature hunts and walks, making bird feeders, painting with leaves and much more!

Tuesday 9th August – Let’s Get Active!
Visit from a Yoga and Pilates Instructor, gymnastics, dancing, trampolining, football, active movement, ball pool sessions, and outdoor experiences to keep us active.

Wednesday 10th August – A World of Imagination
Disney and superhero day.  Dressing up as your favourite characters, face painting, role-playing, karaoke fun, and lots of experiences to widen the imagination.

Thursday 11th August – The Space Centre*
Touring the sensory gardens, having picnics, and exploring the sensory rooms available at The Space Centre (Preston).
*Parents will drop off and pick up from The Space Centre.

Day trip time 11am – 3pm*
£8 additional charge per child.

Friday 12th August – Let’s Join the Circus!
Parachute games, bubble making, juggling, throwing activities, balancing, hula hooping, face painting, and popcorn making experiences.  All in preparation to host our very own circus show.

Week 2

Monday 15th August – Farmer Teds Adventure Farm*
Join us for an action-packed day of indoor and outdoor fun at the UK’s only Shaun the Sheep attraction.
*Parents will drop off and pick up from Farmer Teds.
Day trip time: 10.30am – 4pm
£8 additional charge per child.

Tuesday 16th August – The Full Sensory Experience
Let’s relax our senses with some Reiki sessions by a qualified therapist and a relaxing body massage for the full sensory experience.  Including the sensory room and lots of other sensory-stimulating activities.
Wednesday 17th August – A Day on the Farm
A day full of farm-like experiences such as messy play with hay and chocolate mud, and farm-related arts and crafts.  A visit to Cedar Farm, meeting animals, petting experiences, sing-a-long on Old MacDonalds farm and much more!
Thursday 18th August – Exploring Arts
Providing both creative and imaginative art sessions for all children to discover the world of mark making.  Clay making opportunities, paint experiences, and lots of crafts to bring out our artistic side.
Friday 19th August – Martin Mere Wetland Centre*
Get closer to nature with adventure trails, wildlife, and wetland superstars.
*Parents will drop off and pick up from Martin Mere.
Day trip time: 10.30am – 4pm
£8 additional charge per child.

10am – 4pm
Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle with your child’s name on it.

Break Time short break activities provide a range of activities and groups for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities who meet the criteria to attend and who do not receive short breaks following a social care assessment of need.
