Special education volunteers play an important part in the day- to- day running of Rainbow Hub in supporting families with special needs. Our volunteers help staff to deliver services to the children, young people and adults, as well as their parents and families.
There are many ways to volunteer at Rainbow Hub with roles you might want to get involved with; including working directly with the people who access our services, to working on our reception desks, behind the scenes in our offices or building and grounds maintenance. You might want to get involved with our Fundraising Team or out and about with our events.
We’re looking for special education volunteers who are:
Over 16 years old (except work experience, placements and recognised youth groups)
Reliable, trustworthy and friendly
Aware of the stresses and strains facing those with neurological conditions and the families
Able to communicate well
Able to commit a few hours or more every week (daytime, evenings or on weekends)
If you’d like to help us with supporting families with special needs by becoming a special education volunteer, please contact Tracy, our Volunteer Manager. Call 01704 823276 or email: tracy.daglish@rainbowhub.org
