Rainbow Hub will be holding its first Virtual Family Evening on 28th November to raise funds for the
Lancashire based charity which supports children and young people with neurological and physical
disabilities.
Normally the charity would be hosting their Annual Ball but have had no option but to cancel this year’s
event, along with their summer events, which has had a devastating effect as they have no statutory
funding and have to raise their own finances.
But they have not given up and their first virtual family evening, which is sponsored by CL Medilaw and
Preston North End, promises an evening of fun, laughter and loads of surprises. Starting at 7pm on
Saturday 28th November, the evening will be hosted by Britains Got Talent finalist Steve Royal and features a performance by
current lead singer of Wet, Wet, Wet and The Voice 2016 winner, Kevin Simm, plus videos of other BGT finalists
including Jon Courtney and Steve Royle, together with local acts Taz, Zanda Magic and the choir, Make
Noise.
Families will have to opportunity to take part in silent auctions as they try to outbid other virtual
guests for fantastic prizes including a games console donated by the Par Group; an executive box for
next season at Preston North End; Rolls Royce Silver Ghost chauffer driven trip and lunch; Christmas
package including a 7ft Nordmann Fir Tree donated by Treebarn, Blackrod; £300 loft installation voucher
from Access 4 Lofts; Horrible Christmas Drive In show ticket; Photoshoot from Precious Little Bear
photography; a non surgical facelift by Permanent Perfection; Christmas hampers; sports memorabilia;
an adventure park stay in Snowdonia for 10 people and a three night break at the Windemere Marina
Village in a three bedroom apartment.
There will a mini quiz and a prize draw for a £200 voucher for Lake District Lodge Holidays donated by
Eccleston Plastering Services Ltd.
Lyndsay Fahey, Interim CEO, Rainbow Hub said, “It has been a difficult year for us all but we hope lots
of families will join us for an evening which will be full of fun but will also showcase our work and
our plans for the future – hence the name “Back to the future” – we’re back open and looking
forward.”
Tickets are £15 per household/device and can be purchased at
